I wonder when we are going to start hearing about some of the townie sims' stories. From looking at pictures and watching video I have seen some of the sims many times. It makes me curious of their background story in the neighborhood.

This was a very nice video, I enjoyed it. Their bodies look better now and the animations as well.

Thats so freaking cool.. I love how they showed how they did some of the animations and stuff. :D

I can't possibly be more excited for this game... I tried playing Sims 2 earlier and it was so boring - They're all the bloody same!

I'm almost dreading the next batch of information or the first proper preview because I don't think I can cope with all this waiting and I don't wanna get any more excited than I already am

I just love how everything's so detailed. I'm so glad that they were so gracious to show us an semi in-depth video of the game.

I have a question: Did they change CAS around? It seems a lot different than from the screenshots at the gaming event. I hope this is the most up to date one.

Great video! I love how the sims personality traits effect them so much, I can't wait to see how the "Hot-Headed" and "Neurotic" sims will act

Great video, very excited for the game now.

Default wow
The animations looked even better than Sims2. It's looking like a winner. If I had to nitpick something then it would be music. Maybe they can get Kate Perry to do a simlish version of "I Kissed a Girl"

Did you guys see the new video at the official site? It's yet another new one but I cannot hear it! I can only view the video, the audio is like if it has been muted and it is another detailed video about the game. Darn.

As for music, I'm still waiting for a Tori Amos, Björk and Nine Inch Nails Simlish version of any of their songs!

Here is the link to the new video, but if someone can find a version with audio, please let me know! The video is so cool and CAS has changed quite a bit and looks better now. And yay, we are still getting collections like from Sims 2!

There's sound for me. Check the bottom right hand corner and make sure the audio button doesn't have a minus beside it...
Thanks for posting this!

Okay, it worked for me! Wow, this video was so cool! It was the most in-depth and detailed one yet! The more news and info and videos and pictures, the harder it is to wait. I am officially spoiled now.

Yeah, I love behind the scenes stuff that shows us about how they do/make parts of the game.

Actually frankie, I had already posted the more detailed video from the official site. See the 4th post on this thread. The first one was the edited one from the convention.

Okay, sorry about that. I got confused with both videos because they literally were posted almost at the same time.

Dunno if any of you noticed this... but the end credits... one of the animator's names is Nawwaf, like the one townie everyone goes on about. I think it said the animator's name was Nawwaf Barakat.

I've never had a townie with that name yet, lol. But why do I get the feeling that we are going to be stuck again with the same naming system as Sims 2.
#22 Old 30th Aug 2008 at 1:54 AM
OMG the video is amazing... I can't wait for the sims 3!!!!! :yippee:
One question: Do you remember that in www.1up.com they said that the'll let us play with the minigames made when they started with sims 3...
I was thinking because we never hear about it again....

I think it was mentioned that EA may let the community play, or know more, about the minigames they made during the production of the game to learn and test things to do with socialising, needs, etc and this is what the poster before meant.

I remember one was like a completely 2D representation of the game and another was a witch hunt.

Wow, that is so cool! I do know that from recent previews we are getting certain tasks such as collecting items for your personal inventory and walking from one end of town to the other to help certain Sims or something like that. I forget exactly but I do know that we are getting tasks and that to me is great because not only are you having the classic gameplay but you are getting little minigames to prolong the challenge of the game.
