I'm having trouble with the previewer. I don't see my picture, I see complete black. Know why?

Thanks, everyone.

HayleyKat: Most likely it's your alpha channel, which overlays black on your tattoo wherever it's not transparent. Try erasing it (just the alpha) to background.

Tattoos are a little tricky; the images show up in the game differently from how they look in an editor or most viewers. I did a short tutorial using GIMP here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=411332

CmarNYC: I'm using photoshop with the nvidia plugin to save in .dds and I don't know what you mean by that. I have channels and under that it says RBG, Red, Blue, and Green...

Darn, someone beat me to the "I wanna have your baby" thing. It still applies, though. <3

This is a great tool!

Could someone make a tutorial with photoshop? I'm so lost on how to do this. :\

OK, I'm going to try your tool today, going to check out what it can do

So, your tool works very handy, I like it a lot! But the problem with this tattoo system is that you are limited to where on the body you want to put the design... and that limits the greatness of the system... Well done on this tool though!

Sounds like you don't have an alpha channel at all, and maybe in Photoshop that makes the tattoo completely opaque (completely black).

I don't use Photoshop and can't help you. There are plenty of tutorials on Photoshop out there which should explain how to use the alpha channel. If that doesn't help, you can post your question in the CAS parts creation forum and someone there can answer it, or you can try using GIMP instead.

Please post tutorial questions in the tutorial thread, and give more information - did you follow the steps exactly, can you provide screenshots, etc.
