I know this thread has been dormant for a while, but I wanted to post an experience I had with a picky client that may help others looking for tips. The assignment was "New Marriage," and she wanted a double bed, dresser, etc. I even gave her an extra bookcase because she was a bookworm. She was displeased. Then I realized the newlywed wasn't the client. It was her grown daughter, who was living there with her husband and their toddler. There wasn't room for another double bed without some serious renovations, but I squeezed a toddler crib and bunk bed into one if the side rooms, and all of a sudden she was delighted! So my advice is not to just look at what they request but also think about whether their house is lacking anything needed for the household 's comfort, and add that, as well.
