Swaying Palms Luau
Reachable only via narrow dirt paths of the thick island jungle, there's the Valley Village. It's got quite a few unique locations; one of them is the partyground Swaying Palms.
Most locals say the cocktails made here at the terrace bar are a must-try.
Tide comes in and out throughout the day.* To reach certain areas, it's best if you walk barefoot across the shallow water. (Or keep your shoes on, but don't come complaining if they shrink.)
*Not really.
There's a legend that once, long ago, the beat of the drums heard from the Swaying Palms was mesmerizing and relaxing; able to rock one asleep. It might not be an interesting legend, but it might explain why there's a hammock nearby. (Oh, and the drums? They got louder and louder each generation. Soon after, it just turned into a noise and not a rhythm. Darn youth and their so-called music...)
There's also a pool of salt water here, in case the big ocean doesn't serve one enough. However, the soaking alone might not be the only thing that's attracting Sims up here...
And, finally, an aerial shot of the area:

Saltwater Pools
Arguably the freshest air to breathe on Felicity Island is the air of the steamy Saltwater Pools.Nearby there's a small lagoon with a waterfall. Ah, nature.
Those crazy enough can try and descend a long way to reach the waterfall, and perhaps even take a shower right at its bottom.
It does take long to reach it, though!
Those who are a bit less adventurous can settle with soaking in the small pools scattered all around.
The water's edge looks very alluring both during the day...
... and during the night.
Despite the pathways not being that well-lit during nighttime...
... many say the low light really brings up the mellow ambience.

I always loved waterfalls, also in real life. Your waterfall! It's just... beyond amazing. :lovestruc
Maybe some more plants near it would make it look more exotic. But it's your neighborhood, of course.

Thanks for the tip. With plants, I just pick a few and scatter them across the lot. I haven't even noticed that I missed the entire waterfall area.

The Jungle Quart
The Highlands, minus the two yet unbuilt huts. This is a sample high-capacity hut that can be found in Highlands.
Jungle Quart, as it's called, is one of the four large buildings/apartments of the village, along with Aurora, Vista, and Tuzu Quarts. They're called that way so it's simpler for Sims to orientate. (Jungle Q is on the jungle's edge, Tuzu Q points at the volcano, Vista Q offers a vista at the seemingly neverending ocean, and Aurora Q is the starting point of the path to Aurora Valley.)
There are a total of six apartments found on this lot. Differences in price and size vary significantly; from single-room ones without a kitchen and a bathroom, to two-storey ones. Residents of apartments that have no bathroom can use a toilet in the basement, but to eat and shower, they need to walk to the Common Grounds. (Really, it's a half-minute walk.)
Some of the apartments can only be accessed via the "basement." The building is actually built on a slope.
The apartments themselves are quite compact in size.
And... that's it for now.

Sunny Residence
Anyone who's played Castaway Stories will know the name of this lot. However, since "Village Residence" was a thing in my Felicity Island before the actual lot recreation took place (first post in this thread), this one is called "Sunny Residence."Reason for naming it "Sunny"? I guess there's a district of the village called Sunny, because every lot of the "district" has that prefix. Sunny Hangout, Sunny Pathway... and I was this close to naming the luau "Sunny Luau."
The most symbolic things are here: the raft, the green hut, and the weird routing fashion.
Compared to the hut in my first post here, Sunny Residence is quite small. It's got one room with a kitchen...
... a terrace where Sims could have their meal, or chat with guests...
... and a cozy small bedroom.
Is it a good or a bad thing that it's up to you to decide which residence you'll send your castaway Sim to once you complete Shipwrecked and Single?

Lucky Tides Resort
In a parallel universe, Felicity Island is a huge exotic destination. Hundreds of Sims every year fly across the ocean to hopefully find accommodation in the most luxurious of hotels, where they stay by night. By day, on the other hand, they continue to explore the culture of the natives, attending free of charge exhibitions to the Sanctuary of Tuzu and the Ancient Northern Ruins, or by paying a fee to fly in a helicopter and see the vast jungle from above, or get on a glass bottom boat at the Village Harbor and explore the colorful underwater reefs of the southern shore. If your Sims are a bit too rich, you might want to consider having them spend a week in heap of luxury: the Lucky Tides Resort.
By checking in, they'll get a key to their very own I-went-for-the-Island-Paradise-houseboat-look!
The glass is coated with a layer of nanoparticles making it stain resistant. You can touch it or drool on it as much as you'd want; you won't have to pay extra for the housekeeping.
On the top floor, there's your own breakfast nook, and a bathroom with modern showers and toilets and whatnot.
As you exit your suite and head over to the main building to have some fun, you'll walk on rippled, soft, dry sand to the bistro. The sand is rake-rippled, re-softened and dried every four to eight hours.
And this is the very entrance to the bistro. The doors can be shut in case of cold weather, but there hasn't been such weather for ages.
In case you're highly impatient, you can check on your chef and your food by taking practically any seat at the bistro. The kitchen is in the center.
The elevators can be accessed from the bistro. They take you upstairs to the lobby...
... and to the nightclub, which is behind the elevators.
The club is very... glassy.
Luckily, the glass is bulletproof, so you can't accidentally break it and fall to your death.
And for those that have had enough of the loud music, they can take an elevator up to the rooftop and chill.
The hotel also provides certain spa services. On the same floor as the bistro, but taking different elevators, you can reach the indoor pool.
And finally, the floor above the lobby is a place for your Sims to get massages. There are also saunas there, accessed in a similar manner like the club - by walking behind the elevators. Forgot to take a picture of that bit, though.
Sooo... which universe do you prefer? The one where Felicity Island is a home to the tribesmen, or the one where it's a home to a bunch of rich tourists who can't wait to explore what Felicity has to offer?

I don't see why you can't have both.
I was looking for more Castaway style objects and thanks to you I was able to get ones that I couldn't find.
My own Islands are very loosely based on the Sims 2 Castaway PSP version as I wanted that kind of stuff for the True Sims 2 Game. Still hunting for Llama Royality Statues and a way to make a cave. Your Felicity Island brings that one step closer

Your neighborhood is so beautiful, and I love that lavish hotel. :lovestruc You've managed to do things with this neighborhood that I've never really seen accomplished before, and you did it so wonderfully. That ocean floor is beautiful and very reminiscent of Castaway. Hopefully one day my sims can visit!
Somewhat hypocritically, I think I prefer the culturally-intact Felicity Island over the idea of it solely being a vacation hotspot. That's what I always disliked about the default BV destinations -- they never really felt like they had an existence or a history outside of tourism (in my opinion). I agree with Sims2Christain -- Felicity Island seems like the type of place that would attract wealthy tourists for its luxury, but would make 'em stay for the history and the culture. It could definitely offer the best of both worlds!

Aerial Shots of the Voyage Version
Regarding the vacation destination version of Felicity, here are some aerial shots of that version of the island. In general, majority of the jungle of the Outlands has been cleared up to make room for the airport terminal Bella Felicis. Furthermore, the Grasslands have gotten a new name - Scavenger Fields, with Scavenger Campgrounds sporting a whooping 3 star rating! (Converted to hotel-level lodging ratings, this converts to about 0.5 stars.) Also, while the South Village is getting a makeover, with malls, high-rating hotels and other goodies, the Highlands stand high and proud, having no outside world interfere with its architecture and culture (although the villagers do welcome tourists if any of them would like to buy the local huts).
There's a bus line connecting the airport to the main road, the first stop being "Lucky Tides" beach resort. The buses are relatively new, but drive on natural gas, providing pollution-free rides - and the best part; bus pass expenses are included in the total trip fare!
Heading south, there's only one intersection, and it's found in the heart of the jungle, right next to the Sanctuary of Tuzu, which is now a massive tourist attraction. The admittance ticket is $0! (Other types of sightseeing, such as the helicopter tour and glass bottom boat tour, are managed by SimCity rather than Trip To Felicity™ company, and their rates may differ.)
This is the "Hot Springs" Remedy & Spa, currently without the remedy and spa. I have big plans for this one... I'm thinking about preserving the hot springs as they were in nature, and building the spa center around them. Sort of like that waterpark in Germany, but way less exciting. But this all will have to wait a looong time before being acted upon.
Until my A-levels are through, that is.

Swaying Palms & Sunset Shallows
A quick update! Swaying Palms is now a separate "district" of the island, counting five lots: Swaying Palms Luau, Swaying Palms Resort, Sunset Shallows, a nightclub and a mall (the last two currently sporting generic names until I think of a good one). The Valley Village doesn't feel left out - quite the contrary - since not everyone can afford spending a week at the Resort, the huts of Valley Village are becoming way too crowded!
This is the new territory:
And this is a preview of Sunset Shallows:

The Three Temples
As the works on the vacation destination are soon to come to a close, one of the Sims of the paranormal career decided to hop to the Aurora Glade one day. They found that the stones have some sort of ancient markings engraved on them. They transcribed the letters onto a sheet of paper. At first it seems that the letter was too hard to decode and that they quit... but they did happen to circle one part of the letter, creating an impression that they clearly do understand what the ancients wrote.
The said Sim that transcribed the markings has since mysteriously disappeared and was never heard from again.
Ok, it's July 2017, and I'm fixing links to my posts' pics due to a recent PB disaster. I stumbled upon this "riddle," or mystery at least, and forgot that I wrote nothing about it.
Anyway, the Aurora Glade looks a bit different in the Voyage version. As if its terrain was a result of strong winds blowing through the hills of the Highlands. All that wind has revealed that the Singing Stones are actually towers of what seems to be a buried temple that looks a lot like the Tuzu temple.
Singing Stones are magical, alright. I've had many theories running through my head, and flushed some of them in this thread. Now, in the thread, I mention that they might sound like the sounds of Jupiter. The sound is eerie and sort of reminds me of Sims ghosts, so it could be that the temple buried beneath was actually a massive tomb. (Of who? Tuzu themselves? Maybe.)
However, one of the theories I had was this. The island, now accounting the Aurora Glade, in total has 3 temples. The Tuzu Temple in the heart of the jungle, the Aurora temple, and the (very visible) temple near the Forbidden Village. The Forbidden Village temple I imagined to be nothing but ruins, and a neighborhood deco dummy came in handy. The Aurora one, I feel like I could've built myself, but I lacked the appropriate tools; a Sims 3 basement tool, for example. The foundation basement trick here would look... awful and/or be non-functional.
Given the three temples, and that Felicity Island itself is this seemingly only-tropical but actually very magical, each temple would hold a different supernatural power, oddity, phenomenon.
There are three temples, each representing one time frame.
The western Forbidden Village temple stands for the past. It used to have a resurrect-o-nomitron, able to bring the long-dead Sims back to life.
The central Temple of Tuzu stands for present. Living life right now - and living it longer. Contains the holy grail which makes Sims younger.
The eastern Aurora temple stands for the future. It contains a supernatural power able to bend the future, or at least provide you with goods that help you live a better life in the future.
However, as the time went on, the Past temple and the Future temple collapsed, their powers lost. A wise old shaman concluded that this is the Tuzu sending the villagers an important lesson: life is a present. Live it now, don't let it sit and spoil.
Three stone shrines stand old and proud
Each has a secret that
Not a soul speaks about out loud
The temple of friendship, an evil wrath
The temple of grief, a chalice old, for old
And the temple of sunrise, the one that knows the path
To end the beast's hunger
The ease the pain of losing a friend
And to turn the hero younger

Swaying Palms Resort
And here's the Swaying Palms Resort, another one of three luxurious hotels of Felicity Island!
You can reach it by walking from the Pahu Pahu Beach Club or Swaying Palms Luau, or as usually Sims get here, by the airport shuttle which reaches the hotel via Palmgrounds Plaza. It's actually two buildings that make up this hotel.
No matter which floor of a building you are on, you can still reach the other building by walking across the "bridges," instead of having to exit one building and enter the other.
By walking down between the buildings and under the bridges, you can reach the shore. But since it sometimes gets very hot outside, Sims prefer to stay indoors.
And if you're feeling particularly sick and tired of the sun, you can even use the super-dark lounge.
I took several pictures of lobbies and I'm feeling lazy, so just enjoy the lobby pictures without the silly captions.
On -1 level (accessed right under the bridges), or by going one floor down from the ground floor), there's a small H&M store...
... which gets bigger once you take the elevator to the rest of the store upstairs!
The chiefs are still figuring out how to prepare Tuzuian food. Until then, they're still serving the regular food off of a typical menu found in a SimCity restaurant.
Oh, and the rooms? If you're here by business, or just prefer to enjoy other services of the hotel more than staying in your suite, you can choose to stay in the small rooms.
But if you feel like spending thousands and thousands of simoleans, why not just enjoy the luxurious rooms? They've got a bitchin' view.
Very bitchin' view.
Verybitchin' expensive view.
And a narrow bathroom. But it's all about the view.
Update: it's the end of July, and it marks the end of construction of the new Swaying Palms region!
