Sculpting

Sculpting is a skill that you can do in The Sims 3 expansion pack, Ambitions.

It is also a skill career, so your sims can register as a Self-Employed sculptor, earning special rewards for selling their work.

Getting Started

To begin sculpting, buy a "Pedestrian Sculpting Station" for §1,100 from Buy Mode > By Function > Entertainment > Hobbies and Skills. Place it in your sim's home in an accessible place (it's big!). Then direct them to interact with it - at first you'll only be able to sculpt in clay, at a cost of §3.

Materials

As Sims become better sculptors, they unlock several materials to work on. Below are the materials, their cost and the levels in which they become available:

Material Level Cost Notes
Clay 0 §25
Metal 2 3 Scrap Only 5 objects can be sculpted.
Wood 3 §25
Ice 5 §100
Stone 8 §500
Topiary 10 §50 Only 4 topiaries can be scupted.

Saavy Sculptors
